ABOUT
Tennent Media is a partnership between Christian Union and Christian students (and alumni) of nine highly influential universities.
The mission of the organization is to broadly publicize the remarkable life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The organization is named after William Tennent, a Presbyterian minister in the during the first Great Awakening in the 1730’s and 1740’s who operated a school for itinerant evangelists in Neshaminy, Pennsylvania called the Log College. At his death, it was recognized that a new school needed to be established, so Jonathan Dickinson established the College of New Jersey in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1746, later moving it to Princeton, New Jersey. The college was renamed “Princeton University” in 1896.
